PICTURE Day - Monday, September 25, 2023

Color Portraits will be at Edison School on Monday, September 25, to take our students’ school pictures.

This is a pre-order system, so you are asked to order your pictures no later than 8:00am on September 25. This will require that you order the pictures without the benefit of a proof. If you do not prepay, you will have a chance to order pictures with your child's "Ticket Code". When placing an order after Picture Day with a Ticket Code a shipping fee will be added on and picture packages will be shipped directly to the home. Ticket Codes will be delivered with the bulk picture package order approximately three weeks post Picture Day.

We anticipate an opportunity for retakes on November 1.  Prepaid orders should arrive about three weeks after picture day.  Obviously, “second chance” orders and retakes will arrive much later.  Complete instructions about ordering are included on the attached flier.

If you have any questions about School Picture Day, please call the school office at (630) 834-4272.

Construction projects continue to take shape as District 205 fulfills its promises from 2018’s $168.5M referendum. Edison Elementary School is currently undergoing a major renovation as a result.

Today, fourth grade students got a sneak peek of what is to come this August when the project is completed. The students were able to move into their two new classrooms and held a mini, socially-distanced ribbon cutting to celebrate!

You may view this message in video form here. I would like to begin by thanking all of our families and employees for their patience and cooperation as we launched E-Learning in District 205 yesterday.

This afternoon, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker extended the closure of schools across the state through the end of the month of April. This was not unexpected, and the District has been busy planning to transition from Act of God Days to extended Remote Learning Days. We will elicit feedback and learn from our first several days of implementation and will continue to work to improve our service to you.
