ELMHURST MUSIC BOOSTERS
The Elmhurst Music Boosters (EMB) is a parent volunteer organization that raises funds to support and encourage grade and middle school students participating in band, orchestra, and choir programs. In 2016-17, EMB awarded over $9,000 in scholarships and financial aid! They help families who otherwise cannot afford to rent instruments for their children and we provide scholarships for summer programs, as well as social events for all the music students. Today, there are over 1,300 students in band, orchestra and choir and yet they have only 30 committed patrons (less than 3%). Please consider supporting EMB through your patronage. Find us on Facebook at Elmhurst Music Boosters or visit us at www.eimb205.com. Or, pay online at the parent webstore https://elmhurstparents.revtra k.net/Elmhurst-Music-Boosters/ #/list. Attached to this newsletter is also an EMB Patron form, if you would rather print and mail your patronage. The EMB Patron form can also be given to your child's music director.
Thank you for your consideration - Elmhurst Music Boosters values your membership!!

PARENT INPUT NEEDED
If you have a student receiving special education services, you received an email from the District encouraging you to participate in an online focus group. The District administration and Board of Education have approved a review of the Special Education program - the first ever!
The survey asks for your anonymous opinion on what is going well and what needs improvement in the district’s work. You will have the opportunity to see what other participants have written and rank them.
This is a key opportunity to provide both broad and specific feedback on the educational experience for your student. Please participate by going to this link. The Exchange is scheduled to close on November 30. Make your voice heard!
SERG REP NEEDED!
SERG REP NEEDED!
The Special Education Resource Group has an opening for our school rep. This role is ideal for a parent who has a student receiving special education services. You will get information about district-wide resources from the SERG chairs and share it at PTA meetings. You can also ask for information on behalf of the parents at our school. Not much to do, but such an important role! If interested, please contact Laura Gibson.
