Hall Pass York Print Shop

In the latest episode of Hall Pass, Dr. Campbell takes viewers inside the York High School Print Shop to spotlight a unique learning space where creativity, technology, and real-world experience come together. Joined by instructor Mr. Stolz, the episode explores how students progress through York’s graphic design and production printing pathway — from introductory design courses to a capstone class that operates like a small printing business.

Students in the Print Shop learn to use industry-standard design software, operate professional printing equipment, and create everything from custom apparel and posters to materials used throughout District 205. In fact, students produce printed materials that support all 13 schools across the district, giving them authentic experience while contributing to the larger school community.

Beyond technical skills, the Print Shop provides students with opportunities to build creativity, problem-solving skills, and professional habits that prepare them for college, career, and life. Whether students are interested in graphic design, marketing, business, or the printing industry, this program offers hands-on learning that connects classroom instruction to real-world applications.
